It's all about Fashion!

The Appearance On Vintage Fashion

Fashion trends have always been repeating this is why some of the clothes that we wear today can be called vintage. Runways and stores are full of clothes and other fashion items that have made a very strong comeback.

One thing should be clear, vintage fashion does not mean that designers have started to pull some outfits from their previous collections and have them washed and ironed. They merely adapted the old fashion trends to the new guidelines and have created a new fashion current. In the past years people that were seen wearing clothes from previous collections were considered cheap and with no sense of style. However, things took another turn when celebrities started to wear items from the top designer’s fashion collections on the red carpet and to various social events.

Vintage Fashion

The ones that can be considered responsible for this fashion trend and the personal stylists. They are constantly looking for something new and interesting to dress their clients in this is why they started to raid the second hand clothing stores. Such a place offers a wide range of possibilities and the price tags are considerably lower than in fashion boutiques. This trend was so popular that at some point celebrities started to raid the stores all on their own and pick their own dresses. Everybody seemed to be so fond of this trend that people actually began to attend garage sales. The vintage clothing stores were also raided in order to find the best outfits possible.

One can say that the most interesting fashion trend that has re-appeared on the market has been the big shoulder pads. The designers who re-launched the trend were helped by famous celebrities such as Kate Moss who wore their creations. There also were some other trends that have emerged on the market and that have captured our interest, like for example: animal prints, the bold messages, the costume jewelry and last but not least the trendy handbags.

Each of us can create a fashion trend of our own or simply discover our personal style. All that we have to do is to find out what are the fashion items that fit us. If we start looking for the right clothes in the right places then becoming our own personal stylist is not a hard thing to do.

A place for everything

A closet needs a system in order to function properly and stay organized. Your system can be as complicated or as simple as you like but the common factor in all closet organization is having a place for everything. Once this is accomplished, the next step to master is to put everything in its place. This has to be done consistently to make your system work which will take time, practice and a little self-discipline.

For instance if the bottom of your closet is a sea of unmatched shoes and you have to conduct a scavenger hunt to find a matching pair – you need to find a home for every pair of shoes you own. This will probably mean investing in a shoe tree or a similar organizational helper. Before you buy, do some research – find out what is available in your price range and where you can find it. Make sure that there is enough room for your entire shoe collection and be forward thinking – leave room for future growth. If you don’t do this you will end up in the same situation as before but with less money in your wallet.

After you have found a home for all of your clothes (or shoes) take the time (each and every time) to put them back in their new spot. But don’t stop at just your shoes! Keep going, pick the next problem spot in your closet, you will know what it is by the level of frustration you experience as you try to find something. It could be belts, ties, workout clothes, socks, whatever it is –find a home for your items, put them there every time and soon it will become second nature and you will never have to conduct a search in your closet again.
